(Gawkwire.com) – WebmasterRadio.FM, the world’s largest internet radio station in the B2B industry and official radio network for many of the most prestigious internet conferences in the space, hit a grand slam after hosting its first annual ConversionBash party during the Conversion Conference in San Jose, California, May 3-5, 2010. As a community destination, WebmasterRadio.FM is proud to host events that allow everyone to have a life experience in the conference host city.

The sponsors who joined us for the inaugural event were Tealeaf, a renowned CEM solutions provider, and Unica, a leader in Marketing Management software. These companies are true leaders in the industry for supporting conference attendee’s to come together in a fun and inspired environment to down load about the days education and to strengthen relationships within the industry and meet new friends. Through their generous support, all of the guests, VIPs, as well as other key media involved with the conference enjoyed a beach-themed salute to Cinco de Mayo; complete with complimentary margaritas, wine, and musical entertainment spun by a live DJ all night.

“Tim Ash is part of the WebmasterRadio.FM family, it is important for us to support him and his efforts,” said Daron Babin, Co-founder of WebmasterRadio.FM and AffCon2010.com. “We were excited to kick off our newest “Bash” series at the Conversion Conference and look forward to many years to come.”

Hosted at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel, the Conversion Conference spanned three days and offered an Expo hall, 26 dynamic sessions and two pre-conference workshops for attendees interested in learning from the world’s leading authorities how to dramatically increase conversions for their online campaigns. From Headlines & Copywriting That Work, to the Power of Split Testing, every topic that focuses on jumpstarting and mastering conversion was covered. The event marks the first of many for the Conversion Conference series, as they already have another two shows scheduled before the end of this year: Conversion East 2010, October 4-6 in Washington, D.C., and a conference in Hamburg, Germany, October 27-28, 2010.

San Jose, California – (The Hosting News) – September 16, 2009 – Provider of premium wholesale data center space for corporate customers, Fortune Data Centers, has leased 100% of its 8 Megawatt critical load capacity, within six months of opening the doors of its Phase 1 development.

John Sheputis, CEO of Fortune Data Centers explained, ”Despite a tough economic climate, demand for data center space continues to be a bright spot. To have a facility of this size fully leased in such a short time period should confirm the market strength of Silicon Valley. And, we have a strong team with great vendors and business partners that helped make this happen.”
The company is now beginning work on Phase 2 development at the San Jose facility, which is expected to add approximately 6 Megawatts of critical load capacity. When completed, Fortune San Jose will occupy over 140,000 square feet and support nearly 14 Megawatts of IT critical load.

Dan Golding, vice president and research director, Tier 1 Research added, ”The colocation market is extremely strong, especially for high quality, highly redundant wholesale datacenter capacity. The Silicon Valley area, in particular, is one of the most under-supplied regions of the U.S., with datacenter demand exceeding supply for the past four years. This trend has been exacerbated by the credit crunch, which has made it tough to secure financing for large datacenter projects. The few large, high quality datacenter projects on the market are in great demand from both enterprises and Internet content providers – particularly if they are energy efficient, which makes them less expensive to operate.”

Mr. Sheputis continued, ”Our tenants are among some of the most respected companies in the world. They are experienced industry leaders in their core businesses and have many other data center holdings. They recognize that there are significant cost savings to be realized by partnering with a company that delivers highly energy-efficient data center space.”

Fortune’s Phase 1 data center delivers superior energy efficiency as measured by Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). PUE is determined by dividing the total facility power by the IT equipment power – the lower the resulting ratio, the more efficient the data center. During independent testing through a Level 5 Commissioning Process, the data center achieved a PUE of 1.37 at full load, an energy-efficiency level far superior to the industry average data center PUE of 2.0, and better than the EPA’s 2011 target PUE of 1.45 for state-of-the-art enterprise-class data centers.

Mr. Sheputis concluded, ”We have participated in several PG and E efficiency programs and have been very happy with the results. We exceeded our PUE projections for Phase 1 and expect to deliver an even better PUE for Phase 2 by leveraging and advancing many of the efficiency measures used in the first phase. We are currently defining the technical program for Phase 2, and it will include state-of-the-art efficiency measures for service redundancy and energy density. We’re confident that increasing the facility’s capacity will not only lower tenant operating costs, but our expansion should result in lower power costs for our tenants.”

Fortune Data Centers was founded to create a class of industrial grade data centers for corporate clients seeking a cost-effective alternative to the prospect of in-house development and facility management. Fortune’s San Jose facility is designed to provide best in class reliability and total value for large scale deployments of mission critical applications. The property meets or exceeds the toughest industry standards for data centers – in all operational categories of availability, security, connectivity, and physical resilience. Fortune is a privately held company, founded in 2006.

San Jose, California – (The Hosting News) – August 18, 2009 – Premium wholesale data center space for corporate customers provider, Fortune Data Centers, has instituted energy efficiency measures as part of the company’s participation in PG and E’s High Tech Energy Efficiency program.

John Sheputis, CEO of Fortune Data Centers noted, ”We are firmly committed to energy efficiency while minimizing our impact on the environment, which is exemplified in our San Jose facility. And, a big priority is reducing costs for our customers. Our data center is one of the most advanced, energy-efficient data centers in Silicon Valley and allows us to pass along significant cost savings to our customers.”

It is estimated that the new efficiency measures
will save 10,448,592 Kilowatts per year – equivalent to powering 1,500 homes annually or the reduction of 4,200 tons of CO2, as calculated by PG and E.

PG and E’s High Tech Energy Efficiency program provides technical services and analysis of energy efficiency measures to companies like Fortune Data Centers. The California utility offers incentives for a broad portfolio of technologies, including virtualization/consolidation, massive array of idle disks (MAID) data storage systems, high efficiency power conditioning and delivery equipment, PC network management software, and strategies for lowering air conditioning energy use and costs.

An independent engineering firm analyzed the design documents for Fortune’s flagship data center project in San Jose, then provided Fortune and PG and E estimates of energy savings. Fortune Data Centers received an incentive award of over $900,000 from PG and E to partially offset the premium costs of the energy efficiency design improvements which Fortune implemented.

Fortune Data Centers reconstructed a former clean room facility and built it into a highly efficient data center with an exceptional Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.37 – far superior to the industry average PUE of 2.0, and better than the EPA’s 2011 target PUE of 1.45 for state-of-the-art enterprise-class data centers. To achieve such a rating, Fortune Data Centers invested in highly-efficient infrastructure components, selecting critical components such as Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) based on their energy efficiency ratings.

Mechanical improvements included Fortune’s redesigning the cooling system to minimize the power required for air distribution. Rather than use a traditional raised floor, Fortune elected to supply cold air from an overhead plenum to take advantage of the natural density of cold air and the buoyancy of hot air. Other steps included changing the coils in the air handlers to improve energy efficiency.

Mark Bramfitt, principal program manager for high tech programs for PG and E added, ”PG and E commends Fortune Data Centers for renovating its existing facility into a world class energy-efficient data center. For more than 30 years, PG and E has worked with our customers to help them become more energy efficient and save money. We are proud to have provided technical assistance and financial incentives to support Fortune’s commitment to energy efficiency.”
